Little Rose, my grandma, came to me in my dreams. Wine cellar, she said. Wine cellar? I wondered after. What does she mean?
And so I went and the door was half hidden with grass and weed. I cut my way through and saw a half-forgotten large wooden barrels, full of dust. There were cobwebs extended from the corners in an enmeshed and fascinating network, making the space looking like an entrance to a forbidden passageway from adventure movies. There were also some old pieces of furniture, thrown randomly around the space, wooden plates and pieces used for small domestic repairs. I saw also old rugs my grandma used to weave on her big old weaving machine. These were hanging from a cord that was distended from opposite corners of the cellar.
What should I make of this? What is the message she is trying to convey?
I looked around carefully. There were some old wooden boxes, numerous hooks where they would hung a ham to dry; there was a large skewer for roasting, large glass carafes and bottles for wine, glass jars, plastic containers, oil lamp, some old lids and some old pots. Hanging from the cord there were also half rotten wooden window frames.
Windows to the cellar were with their blinds shut down, but there were numerous frames hanging from the ceiling. Windows to the Worlds, windows of opportunity. Windows as a portal to a new dimension.
What is my window of opportunity? What dimension I may have an access to?
I promised to my ancestors I would not let them be forgotten; that I would find the way to connect with them frequently: that is how the blog was created. It was supposed to be a tiny corner where I could share some of ancestral knowledge and wisdom along with my acquired knowledge through the studies I undertook in the course of my lifetime. It was supposed to be a small virtual sanctuary, a place for healing, contemplation and peace. However, life got busy or, so I thought, and I could not find the time. And there she came, Little Rose, to remind me of my promise.
It will take a bit more for me to return back to these pages, but that is another story.
